Detroit, MI/ Oct. 26 / Another Detroit Freeway Shooting.
Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting that happened on the Southfield Freeway near McNichols Road on Saturday at 4 a.m.
The victim said the suspect vehicle was in the right lane and she was in the center lane when the suspect pulled in front of her vehicle and slammed on their brakes. The victim avoided a collision and the suspect got into the right lane. The suspect pulled next to the victim and fired two rounds at her vehicle.
Newspapers have reported at least 21 freeway shootings since June 15th Michigan State Police have quit providing statistics regarding this year’s number of freeway shootings.
Exercise caution when driving Metro-Detroit freeways between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. on weekdays. Stay out of the leftmost lane (I can guarantee you someone wants to go faster ). Yield right away no matter what. De-escalate if possible.
