CLARKSVILLE, ARKANSAS/ 22 AUG 20/ Man arrested after altercation at BLM banner protest.

SIGACT:  Clarksville Connected Utilities received a permit to hang a “Black Lives Matter” banner from the mayor promoting a rally on 5-6 September in Clarksville. Local supporters and detractors had a confrontation. One BLM advocate crossed the street to confront one protestor. The protestor punched the advocate in the face before the fight was broken up.
RECOMMENDATION: Avoid the Clarksville “Black Lives Matter” banner area on Main Street. Especially avoid the area during 5-6 September demonstrations as they routinely descend into fights.
