DETROIT, MI/ Sept 4 1:00 PM EDT / Court Grants Temporary Restraining Order Against Police

Following the lead of sister courts in Portland, Seattle and Oakland, a federal court judge has granted a temporary restraining order prohibiting police from using some tactics of crowd enforcement.  The period covered is next 14-days but not longer than 28 days.  Prohibitions on:

  • striking weapons
  • chemical agents
  • choke holds
  • tightening zip ties
  • mass arrests
