PINE PRAIRIE, LA/ 14 AUG 20/ Protest outside Pine Prairie ICE Facility halted after several people pepper-sprayed by law enforcement

SIGACT: Roughly 100 protestors gathered outside an ICE facility. The participants were demonstrating for the release of detainees inside the facility currently undergoing a hunger strike. The demonstration was shut down by local law enforcement.

RECOMMENDATION: Exercise increased caution around detention facilities as national protests are beginning to broaden their scope of issues.
